An extensive set of cancers that originate in the oral cavity, nasal cavity, nasopharynx, throat (oropharynx, hypopharynx, larynx), and other nearby regions. These are clubbed together as head and neck cancers. They are classified in the same category because diagnosis, staging, and treatment of many of these cancers are similar, with few exceptions.
Requires a medical diagnosis
Symptoms can occur in mouth, sinuses, nose or throat and include a sore or lump that doesn't heal, a persistent sore throat, trouble swallowing and changes in the voice.
People may experience:

Also common: enlarged neck lymph nodes, hoarseness, or mouth ulcer
Treatment depends on stage
