Dr. Hemanth G N, MS, MCh (Surgical Oncology) has 6 years of experience in Oncology and is presently working as Assistant Professor in the department of Surgical Oncology in Vydehi Cancer Centre.

He completed his under graduation from JJM Medical College Davanagere and Post graduation from Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati. He later went onto complete his super specialisation in Surgical Oncology from St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore, which is one of the leading medical college hospitals in India.

During his post doctoral training he was awarded the prestigious Dr.Mahadevan award for best paper in the Karnataka State Surgeon’s conference in February 2016 and also won the best paper presentation in the All India Surgeon’s conference in November 2016. His keen interest in research fetched him a grant, using which he did a study on ‘Axillary Reverse Mapping ‘ in breast cancer, which was published in the journal of Indian Association of Surgical Oncologists.

His interests include Thoracic Oncology, Hepatopancreaticobiliary and Gastrointestinal Oncology, and also Gynecological Oncology. He has undergone training in HIPEC therapy (Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy ) and has visited Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul, South Korea for upper abdominal laparoscopic training.

He is a member of the Karnataka State Surgeons Association,Association of Surgeons of India, Indian Association of Surgical Oncology and Indian Association of Peritoneal Surface Malignancies.
