Introduction.

Dr. Geeta S. Narayanan, MD, DNB in Radiation Oncology, is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Vydehi Cancer Center, Bengaluru, India. She has over 19 years of experience in the field. She completed her MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, and her MD and DNB from Kidwai Cancer Institute. She is highly skilled in administering a full spectrum of radiation treatments and has undergone advanced training in Radiation Oncology in Germany, Denmark, and Switzerland. She has been instrumental in establishing the Department of Radiation Oncology at Vydehi Cancer Center. 

She has served in leading institutions in the country, including Kidwai Cancer Institute, Bengaluru, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. Dr. Geeta is a recognized guide under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences for post-graduate training in radiation oncology and is associated with other state universities as well. As an active researcher and principal investigator and co-investigator in diverse clinical trials, she has numerous peer-reviewed national and international publications to her credit. She was the President of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), Karnataka State Chapter.
