Dr. Kalpana serves as the Professor and Head of the Department of Pain Medicine. She has played a pivotal role in establishing the Pain and Palliative Care Unit with state-of-the-art facilities at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre. The Pain Medicine department at Vydehi Hospital is dedicated to providing comprehensive care, ranging from the diagnosis and management of chronic persistent pain to non-surgical treatments for cancer-related pain, nerve pain, bone and joint pain, and spine pain.

Dr. Kalpana is committed to delivering the highest standard of medical care to all patients. She has performed a wide range of interventional pain procedures, including both basic and advanced interventions under fluoroscopy and ultrasound guidance. With extensive knowledge and expertise in Radiofrequency Neuroablation Technology, she has significantly alleviated pain and suffering for patients with inoperable and metastatic cancers.
