Department of surgical oncology , Vims RC jointly with department of General surgery , Mvj medical college, Hoskote, blore had conducted CME on breast cancer – “From radicality to conservation”. CME emphasised on the nuances of breast conservation , Evidence based management of Early and Locally advanced breast cancer, Role of radiotherapy nd Role of chemotherapy in breast cancer. It was well attended over 250-300 delegates and also concluded with quiz competition for Postgraduates . An extensive single themed CME was welll appreciated and well received by the delegates. In today’s world cancer treatment should aim at strengthening the knowledge at primary and secondary health care levels, esp breast cancer – most common cancer among women in India.
