Introduction.
Dr. Geeta S.Narayanan, MD, DNB in radiation oncology has over 19 years of experience and is presently working as professor and Head in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Vydehi Cancer Centre, Bangalore. She has completed her UG from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum and PG from Kidwai Cancer Institute, Bangalore.
She is proficient in performing all radiation related treatments and had training at Germany, Denmark and Switzerland for advanced techniques of Radiation Oncology. She was instrumental in establishing Radiation Oncology department at Vydehi Cancer Centre.
She has served in leading institutions in the country (Kidwai Cancer Institute, Bangalore; Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai & Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi). She is a recognized guide under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences for post graduate training in radiation oncology and associated with other state universities. She is involved in research as Principal and Co- investigators in various clinical trials and has many national and inter-national publications to her credit. Currently, she is the president of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), Karnataka state chapter.
